Arrive at Colombo’s International Airport where you will meet your driver-guide who will greet you and take you to your first destination, to Wilpattu. We will break-up the drive by visiting one of the oldest Hindu temples in the country and a Tamil village with a prawn farm. Then continue onwards to Wilpattu, on arrival check in to your hotel and relax until dinner.

Wake up early and enjoy a 4×4 game drive at Wilpattu National park. Wilpattu is Sri Lanka’s largest national park where you will have a great chance spotting some Asiatic Leopards. Return back to the resort by 10:30 am. In the afternoon you will have the chance to discover the ancient town of Anuradhapura on an optional activity.

Today you will have the chance to observe more wildlife as you will be heading out for a full day safari drive. As the park is vast, it is worth to spend the whole day there. Lunch will be served during the excursion.

Breakfast at the lodge, then check out and drive to the heart fo the Cultural triangle, to Dambulla. Visit a local school en-route and interact with the local children. Check in to your accommodation an relax in the afternoon.

Start today with an early breakfast and discover Rock Fortress of Sigiriya which was built in the fifth century. You will be able to climb to the top with your private guide who will explain the history and myths of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
After the visit of the fortress, you will have lunch at the local farmer’s house. The owner Sampath will welcome you with a warm smile to his humble abode. The dining area is set with amazing views to the surrounding rice paddies and the mountain range. Enjoy one of the best rice and curries from the region, which are served in traditional clay pots.

After breakfast, your driver will take you to the second ancient capital of Sri Lanka. Polonnaruwa belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage list. Discover the rich history of this ancient city, explore the archaeological site on a bicycle with your guide. Visit Minneriya National Park In the afternoon on a 4×4 Game drive. Explore the park with a naturalist guide who will help to spot the local wildlife, including the Asian elephant, sambar, and sloth bear.

Breakfast in the hotel, then check out, and your driver will take you to Kandy. You have the opportunity to stop at Matale en-route and discover a private spice garden. Sri Lanka is famous for its excellent cuisine and exotic spices. This program will provide a great introduction to the details. Learn about clove, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, mace and pepper, and many other favourites such as cocoa and vanilla. After the visit of the spice garden, you continue towards Kandy. After check in to your hotel, you will have the chance to discover the town on a guided walking tour.
