Individual arrival to Cuiabá where we meet at an airport hotel for a welcome briefing at 7pm.

We leave Cuiaba after breakfast and head to Porto Jofre, the gateway to “Jaguarland”. Enjoy an afternoon boat safari on the Cuiaba river.

Enjoy full-day jaguar safaris on the Cuiabá River and its tributaries.

We will leave Porto Jofre in the morning and travel North to pousada Piuval. We will photograph the resident wildlife around the lodge, like Burrowing Owls, Hyacinth Macaws, Caimans etc. We will also have the a chance to see jaguars “on land”.
Overnight near Pocone.

We spend the whole day around Piuval Lodge. We start with a 5am safari in
search of animals active at dusk and the last chance to see giant anteaters. We
will continue on morning safari and will end the day with an afternoon/nocturnal safari. If it is too monotonous we can opt for other activities.

Rise early and start a day with a last jeep safari in search of giant anteaters. After breakfast we will have another safari and after lunch, we will leave for Cuiaba.

Pousada Porto Jofre is a simple lodge on the bank of the Cuiaba River in Porto Jofre. It will be a good base to discover the area and enjoy our boat safaris.
Pocone
Piuval Lodge (Standard), or similar
Piuval Lodge is a very nice lodge near the town of Pocone. It is in the middle of a ranch where you can already observe wildlife around.

Richard is a published and award-winning photographer based in Cornwall, England and has spent 22 years in the UK Military as a Survival Specialist. Richard has been photographing for over 35 years and has now worked as a full time wildlife & nature photographer for the past 7 years. He travels around the United Kingdom and beyond in search of new subjects and is currently working on a number of conservation projects. He focuses on capturing images of nature in their natural environment, his belief is the welfare of the subject in Wildlife photography must come first above any image.
This is an ultimate wildlife photography safari to the Northern Pantanal of Brazil. These floodplains are one of the best wildlife destinations in Latin America. We will have the chance to photograph Jaguars, Giant anteaters, and Giant River Otters.
This is a two-centre based holiday, we spend 5 nights at Porto Jofre, the capital of “Jaguarland” and 2 nights near Pocone where we will enjoy jeep safaris. This holiday is perfect for someone who is looking for a relaxed photography safari where mammals and birds are in focus.
