The Gambia is Africa’s smallest non-island country. It is located in West Africa, on the Atlantic Coast, surrounded by Senegal. It is a narrow strip is land that surrounds the Gambia River. its official language is English.
The dominant vegetation North of the Gambia River is savannah, while the on the Southern side is various inland swamps and mangrove forests.
