Breakfast at the hotel, then your driver will take you to the heart of the Cultural Triangle, to Dambulla. There will be a lunch-stop en-route (payable locally). Check in to your hotel in the early afternoon and relax. Visit Minneriya National Park in the afternoon on a 4×4 Game drive. Explore the park with a naturalist guide who will help to spot the local wildlife, including the Asian elephant, sambar, and sloth bear.

Start today with an early breakfast and discover Rock Fortress of Sigiriya which was built in the fifth century. You will be able to climb to the top with your private guide who will explain the history and myths of this UNESCO World Heritage site. After the visit of the fortress, you will have lunch at the local farmer’s house. The owner Sampath will welcome you with a warm smile to his humble abode. The dining area is set with amazing views to the surrounding rice paddies and the mountain range. Enjoy one of the best rice and curries from the region, which are served in traditional clay pots.

Today you will leave Dambulla. Your destination for today is the Tea & Experience Factory Hotel. On the way to your new accommodation, we will stop for a couple of hours to visit the beautiful Kandy. After arrival at Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth from the sixteenth century. The temple is world-famous of the sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha which was brought to Sri Lanka from the Kalinga province in ancient India. You will have the chance to try another homestay restaurant where you can discover the excellent flavours of Sri Lanka. In the afternoon, continue to the Tea & Experience Factory Hotel in Mandaram Nuwara. Travel Time: 1hour & 30 Minutes.

After your breakfast at the hotel, your driver will take you to Nanuoya Railway station. Embark on one of the most scenic train rides in Asia. Your journey to Haputhale will take around 2 hours. Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the highlands while the train makes its way through lush tea plantations. Your guide will pick up from Ella / Haputhale Railway station and transfer you to the hotel.

The simple hike to “Little Adams Peak” is a must and the beautiful landscapes and mountains that loom before you when you reach the summit will amaze you. If time permits, you could also explore the “9 Arch Bridge” and certainly visit the Rawana Ella Waterfalls. Return to the resort in the afternoon.
