Individual arrival to Cuiabá where we meet at an airport hotel for a welcome briefing at 7pm.

We meet at the hotel’s lobby and start our 3-hour journey to Pocone, to the beginning of the Pantanal. We will have lunch at the lodge and will have our first evening safari looking for nocturnal mammals.
Overnight in Pouso Alegre Lodge.

We spend the next 2 full days on the ground of the lodge and the surrounding estancias. We will have a chance to spot monkeys, coatis, capybaras, and with some luck ocelot, giant anteater and tapir. The area is also a paradise for bird-lovers. One each day we will enjoy a morning and afternoon and an evening safari ether on foot or by jeep.
Overnight in Pouso Alegre Lodge.

We will enjoy our last jeep safari and then we will depart on a 2-hour journey to Porto Jofre, to the gate of “Jaguarland”. We will spend lunch onboard our floating hotel and will have our first boat safari on the rivers.

Enjoy three consecutive days of boat safaris along the Cuiabá River and its tributaries.
During these 3 days we will explore the river systems on boat to photograph jaguars, giant river otters and an abundance of birds, reptiles and mammals.
Overnight in Porto Jofre.

After breakfast we head out for a final boat safari, then have lunch onboard and we will make our way back to Cuiaba.

Enjoy the wonders of the Pantanal from this rustic Lodge from an authentic 11,000-hectare cattle farm. Get the feel of the pantaneiro lifestyle and discover the local flora and fauna. The farm offers 24 apartments with AC, fans, and bathrooms with hot showers.
Porto Jofre
Barco Aguapé (Standard, Floating Hotel), or similar
Barco Agupe is a somewhat modern floating hotel docking on the Cuiaba river. It will give us the advantage as we will be closer to the State Park and we can get our early to get the nicest light of the day.

This 10-Day itinerary focuses on the Northern Pantanal. We will be staying at two locations, in a lodge near Pocone and on a floating boat in Porto Jofre. The tour focuses on maximising our chances to see most of the mammals of the Pantanal. With some luck we can see Giant Anteaters, Brazilian Tapirs, Jaguars, Ocelots, Tayras, Howler monkeys and many more.
Gustavo, our local guide is an incredible spotter, and Andres, our international guide will help you capture these majestic creatures with your camera.
